You may know by now that our 2013 SLP Camaro was due for a heart transplant. After waiting patiently for the new Chevrolet Performance LSX376-B15 crate engine to arrive, it has been installed, and is already being put to the test by the SLP calibration team. Outfitted with our SLP TVS2300 supercharger, the new power plant has put out impressive starting numbers on our dyno.
On the first day of testing, our SLP Camaro hit the mark of 600 horsepower at the rear wheels. Now, utilizing a 3.2 pulley, the low compression B15 engine is upward of 700 horsepower, with 630 of it at the rear wheels. Keep in mind that the B15 engine, while lower compression, allows us to run more boost and more timing.
“The engine is installed and running, we made 630 horsepower at the rear wheels within the first day, and the engine just sounds gnarly,” says Powertrain Development Manager, Greg Banish.
The Camaro also features our LoudMouth 3 exhaust with SLP headers and X-pipe.
Stay tuned as the SLP Camaro continues to evolve and transform.
